Akiba's Trip Undead & Undressed

This suburban Tokyo neighborhood has been through a lot, from Japan's post-war reconstruction to the economic crisis of the 1980s.

Always on the cutting edge of progress, with something to offer even the most fetishistic of appetites, it was almost inevitable that this singular technocracy of indulgence would give rise to an entirely new kind of appetite.

Enter the vampire "Synthisters" who feed off the life energy of the unsuspecting, figurine seekers, coffee shop connoisseurs and cosplayers.



Those who fall victim to the Synthisters take over the properties of their attackers and at the same time withdraw from society, becoming true "closets" due to their new fatal weakness to sunlight.

AKIBA'S TRIP tells the story of one such unfortunate soul: a young man named Nanashi who was lured into a trap by the promise of rare goods and turned into a walking undead.

However, he was spared the worst of his fate by the bloody kiss of a mysterious Synthister hunter named Shizuku.
